I, like many other beer geeks, was completely dedicated to getting my hands on a bottle of Canadian Breakfast Stout from Founders Brewing Company. They have been one of my favorite breweries for awhile, and this has arguabley been one of the biggest beer releases in recent years. I called around to every beer store in the area with no avail. Luckily for me, Belmont Party Supply announced on Facebook (as they always do with new beers) that they were to be getting a case of the stuff. Unlike hoarding it for their “best” customers and employees, they decided to release it the day after the shipment came in, giving people the opportunity to be at the doorstep when they opened for the day at 6 AM on Thursday. I assembled my entourage (consisting of my good friend Robert), and made plans to wake up at the butt crack of dawn and wait in line at the door. Surely if we got there early enough, we would be among the first in line to grab the precious CBS since most of the less dedicated people would show up 10 minutes before they opened, right? Spoiler alert, this was not the case.
